People in Tucson, AZ are lucky. You should know I graduated Arizona State University, so it’s hard for me to say that. But, Tucson has Gourmet Girls Gluten Free Bakery. Everything in the restaurant is gluten-free, pretty awesome, right? Not only is everything gluten-free, but you can tell that it’s cooked with love and passion, and it’s pretty darn good. Non-GFBF and I found this place several months ago with a big sign that said “gluten free” on the building. We promised to check it out on the way home and was super impressed. We’ve now eaten there 4 or 5 times and have loved everything we had.
I had their their breakfast sandwich. Eggs, sausage, cheese on a GF roll. YUMMY!
Non-GFBF had cinnamon raisin walnut gluten-free french toast and fruit. Awesome.
The last time we went Non-GFBF had biscuits and gravy with poached eggs. It tasted awesome, however, it looked not that appealing. The presentation on this one was not awesome, but the taste is great. So…who really cares 🙂
Then we tried lunch there. Since it’s only open breakfast and lunch you can have whatever you want off the menu.
Props for the presentation on this cupcake. It was actually pretty mild tasting. I thought it was going to be overwhelmingly porky, but the meaty bacon bits really brought out the sweetness of the peanut butter frosting.
This picture makes me drool. Their baguettes/french breads are so good. I could eat that bread for every meal. I’m just sad I’m not down there more often, as I would make this bread a part of every meal if I could. The outside is so hard and crusty and the inside is so soft and chewy. This bread, so good. <drools>
The muffins were great. I took home a few Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip muffins for later. Yummy. I really wanted to try the PB&J muffins. Hopefully next time.
I also suggest their Mexican Wedding Cookies tub (not pictured). It also says that they can make specialty ordered cakes (birthdays, graduations, wedding, etc.). At this time they’re not shipping, but they said that they are exploring the idea. If they ship ya’ll better buy some of that french bread!
This place is a great bakery, but also a great restaurant. I wish I could come here every weekend, but 2 hours is a long drive for brunch. I love the fact that there is a safe restaurant I can eat at whenever I want. If you go, stock up on all the great cookies, cakes, donuts, etc. Their whole menu is online. If you’re not in AZ and you just want to drool all over your Facebook, connect with them there.

So happy to have found you! A friend of mine told me your good was to dis for! I am there Saturday and would love to bring some items back to keep in the freezer, as I do not live in the area. How well does your quiche, eclairs, cream puffs, and French bread freeze? Hope to hear from you soon!

Hi Terri! Please contact the bakery directly for that information! But yes, they store well!
