Review and Giveaway Red Apple Lipstick Summer of Passion Giveaway Day 2

It’s Day Two of the Summer of Passion Giveaway with Red Apple Lipstick and Celiac and the Beast. I hope you all entered the first day’s contest here for the Summer Sands lipstick.

Although today’s product isn’t from the Summer Passion line of Red Apple Lipstick, it’s a great lipstick and I want you to have an opportunity to win it.

Today’s product is Mauve Me! It retails for $17.50 online.

Like the Summer Passion line, it’s gluten-free and paraben-free. It’s vitamin E enriched for moisture. It’s also allergen-free and vegan, and free from animal cruelty!

On top of wearing Mauve Me, I’m also wearing Red Apple Lipstick’s new eyeshadow in E3 (Blue Jay) and E7 (Champagne).

I didn’t think I’d ever like a color called “mauve,” but this lipstick proved me wrong. It’s simply mauve-elous! I really like this color on me, and I definitely wouldn’t mind wearing it again!

This is such a beautiful color on you! I have a similar hair color and skin tone. It would be the first mauve(olus) for me as well.

Oh and going GF saved my youngest childs life, healed my 2nd child and added to the health of my whole family. It doesn’t get any more marvelous than that!

I would love to win this for my daughter! She was diagnosed after being extremely ill. Although she has adjusted to her new lifestyle, she now is at the age she would like to wear lipstick on some occasions like her friends. I so much, would love to see the smile on her face by providing her more of a “normal” life without sacrificing beauty.

What is mauve-alous about being GF? I have to take care with what goes in my body. I am more aware of my health and that’s a positive.

I would love to win this “mauve”lous Red Apple Lipstick. I have been wanting to try it for some time now! And btw….thank you for your page & all of your info you give out on trying to live a healthy celiac life!

My mom and I have been gluten free since 1998, we were both very sick prior to our diagnosis. At that time I was almost 8 and on an emotional roller coaster about everything while missing 70-80 days of school each year from being sick. My mom was overweight with migraines and unable to stay asleep. That following year my mom lost 80 pounds-just from being GF, migraines disappeared and she was more rested than she had been in 30 years. Meanwhile, my days of school missed dropped to 30, I became much more happy and less easily upset. Our lives have become better and better the more we pay attention to our GF lifestyle.

The most mauvelous thing about being celiac and gluten free is no more fatigue! I mean there are other great things like better skin and no more bloating/heartburn, but the best has to be not being tired all the time! Instead of being so tired after work that I go straight home and to bed, I now can go out with my friends! (Gluten free cocktails of course) And, well, lipstick is a must for a fun night out in the city!

My almost 13 y/o GF daughter is just becoming interested in wearing make up. She would love to try this line! She would look mauve-elous! Being GF has been mauve-elous for her as she didn’t realize she had felt so crummy all the time until she actually felt good!

Oh my! I learned just how mauve-lous GF is when I had some wheat contaminated Salmon and was WICKED sick for days. Not just my normal mildly glutened cravings but PAIN and discomfort like nothing else. So glad to be free of that!!

Since being gluten free, I haven’t had to go to the hospital at all and I have energy to actually leave the house and see friends and family and to also have a job! I don’t know if there was ever a time I felt this great.

I used to have a Clinique lipstick just like that color. I need it; I want it! 🙂

Not having to know where every bathroom is at, all the time, that’s pretty mauve-lous:)

I love that i can’t eat gluten. It has led me to better health. never been a disease for me but rather a gift. I love how i feel. I am 30 and have been gluten free since i was 8

This is a great color! What’s mauve-alous about being gluten free is just the overall feeling of being more healthy than people who aren’t on the diet. Also, the obvious, not having to deal with terrible Celiac symptoms!

  19. Sarah Schmitt July 27, 2012 at 8:38 pm Reply

Everything is better now that I am gluten free. I feel like myself again and I have found my passion for art again. I am pursuing a career change all thanks to my diet change.

The most mauve-elous part about being gluten free is learning so many kitchen skills! I feel like if I didn’t have so many dietary restrictions, I would be clueless in the kitchen.

It’s mauve-elous to be gluten-free because I feel more energetic.
