Review: Au Naturel Botanicals

Up next is an introduction a small review of Au Naturel Botanicals. They are a 100% natural aromatherapy skin care line. I met them at the Gluten Intolerance Group Health and Wellness Expo in Seattle (see my review of it here). Their products are gluten-free, paraben-free, phthalate-free and petroleum-free. They gave me a few little samples at the expo, and I thought a few were really good and I wanted to tell you about them.

I was also given the Rose Cleansing Cream and Dream Cream, but didn’t love the texture of it (too thick for me), and already have soap that works well for my unique/sensitive skin. Here are the ingredients for the Rose Cleansing Cream: organic vegetable glycerin soap and antioxidant rich plant and nut oils. It’s meant for soothing skin irritations.

Dream Cream ingredients: essential oils of Australian sandalwood, ylang ylang, organic lavender, oak mass, bulgarian rose, myrrh, organic blue chamomile and thyme. You’re supposed to massage into face and neck at night.

My favorite product I got to sample was the Aromatherapy Toner. I just spray it on my face when I need a refresher, and before I leave my house for the day. The ingredients are: organic herbal extracts of witch hazel, calendula, chamomile and essential oils of organic orange, lemon, rose geranium, thyme and organic neroli. I would highly recommend this! This product gets a 5 out of 5 – I recommend it as a refreshing and aromatic experience. I’ve used refreshers before, and this one feels good for me – not packed full of chemicals and crap.

Another great product was the Mountain Herbs Body Oil that had essential oils like organic lavender, rosemary, lemongrass, oak moss, and cedarwood. It acts as a natural lotion when you put it on right after you shower. It smells great and really feels like it moisturizes.

I also had a chance to trial the Peppermint Body Polish that’s for pedicures for pesky feet. It’s a blend of peppermint, rosemary, and eucalyptus essential oils. It keeps them very soft and uses mild polish to scrub the feet clean and soft.

After looking at their full brochure, I’m really interested in their masks like the moisturizing macadamia mask! I think these could be great gifts – so hopefully the ladies in my family aren’t reading this right now.

They even have a personal lubricant called Aphrodite’s Nectar – a warming (and tasty so they say) blend of vanilla, vegetable glycerin and essential oils of Australian sandalwood, vetiver, cedar, labdanum, and myrrh. It’s latex safe too! I never would have imagined!

They’re a pretty cool company – and you should check it out, especially if you are into aromatherapy and are looking for gluten-free, paraben-free, and vegan body products. You can email them at info@AuNaturelBotanicals.com or call Toll Free: (877) 742-0172 if you have any questions. Unfortunately, they’re not on Facebook – but I would definitely check out their website and let me know what you think!
