Review: G-Free Foodie Box

**UPDATE: G-Free Foodie Box is now part of Love With Food!**

I’ve reviewed several box subscriptions on here, and you know that I’m a huge fan of them. Where else can you try new food – handpicked for your eating pleasure? They’re also at great prices – especially if you don’t have a Whole Foods right around the corner from you (and even if you do, not all Whole Foods stocks everything, they vary by region). The newest one on the market is from one of our GFF’s – K.C. from G-Free Foodie!

I’m sure most of you have seen the photos from my foodie boxes I’ve received on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, but I wanted to put it all together for you on here.

My first foodie box included:

  • Dang coconut chips
  • Canned heirloom tomatoes
  • Spice rub
  • Kumquat jam
  • Kyra’s Crave Bake Shop snickerdoodle mix
  • G-Free Foodie branded hat
  • G-Free Foodie branded legit measuring spoon

I have to admit I did not like the kumquat jam – it’s definitely too foodie for me. But everything else was an awesome score. I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about the coconut chips, and I can’t wait to take them on a snack the next time I’m at the movies or on a trip. Obviously I’m a huge fan of Kyra’s mixes – they are my favorite. Good thing, because I ran out of her snickerdoodle mix a month ago…

As I was writing this paragraph, I received my second month’s shipment! It contained really fun things – again, that I wouldn’t have thought of on my own.

  • Gluten Free Mama – Mama’s Pie Crust Mix
  • Mariposa Bakery’s herbed crackers
  • Sonoma Syrup Co grenadine syrup
  • Gama Go spatula
  • California Figs mission figs
  • Kind Bar
  • Gluten Free Please graham crackers

I was so excited about everything in the box – definitely better than the first, and I have a feeling that they will keep getting better and better. If you are a foodie, or just want to be a foodie, these are a must. K.C. searches for awesome gluten-free (and dairy-free too if you need it) products that will bring out your inner foodie. Granted, I didn’t know what to do with some of the products, but that’s when I phone a friend like Mary Fran.

K.C. was able to show off her second G-Free Foodie box at the recent Gluten Free Calendar event before the San Diego Padres game in sunny SD! We had a great time, and I loved being able to share an event with K.C. and support her new subscription box!

Non-GFBF was so excited about getting a bag of amazing figs. We’ve been using them to make goat cheese and proscuitto fig pizza on Udi’s and Rudi’s crusts! They are so good.

Each of the foodie boxes comes with a newsletter that also includes recipes for how to use their ingredients. There is an amazing peach blueberry cobbler recipe included with the Mama’s pie curst that I want to make SO badly.

What I also dig about this box is you can tell it’s based on K.C.’s favorite things, and her personality shines through. Even though I don’t consider myself a foodie – I enjoy getting all of these ingredients that are making me experiment with better and new ingredients.

You can purchase these foodie boxes here. They are $29 plus shipping. They are shipped incredibly quick (I think they are even overnighted). Everything is really fresh and it’s exciting to open up every month!

I love to get free goodies. I have Celiac and so does my 9 year old Grandson. I would love a free goodie hat for him.

Just wondering how much the shipping was, I couldn’t find that on their site.
