Mehl’s Flour Company Gluten Free Products Review & Giveaway

Mehl’s Flour Company reached out to me and wanted to send me some of their products (free of charge – thank you) to review. However, they also know that a) I have no time to bake and b) I’m not very good at baking. So, on top of bagged mixes, they also sent along real-live product that they baked fresh for me! On top of the mixes, I received a chocolate cake, a brownie pan, a set of blueberry muffins, and a set of dinner rolls. Seriously, they pre-made them for me guys. That’s just how lazy I am. BUT, it worked. Because you KNOW that I dived face-first into that chocolate cake, and proceeded to take photos of it.

Their chocolate cake was SO good. It’s been a long time since I’ve had cake that moist, especially one that was shipped to me from several states away that took days to arrive. I don’t even know how it was possible but this was some of the best cake I’ve ever had. Period.

The brownies and blueberry muffins were par for the course for pre-made gluten-free food. The brownies were pretty plain, but I imagine that if you were to make them from the mix, you could add whatever you wanted to them – nuts, coconut, sprinkles, frosting, etc. The chocolate cake mix was definitely the shining star.

Later, I had the dinner rolls – making them into mini turkey sandwiches and later using them as traditional rolls with butter. They worked very well if microwaved for about 20-30 seconds a roll. I enjoy them more than the major brand’s dinner rolls that I’ve had (Udi’s and Schar if we want to name names). They do have egg in them – but no dairy thankfully.

I most of all like their muffin mixes. They make the most fluffy gluten-free muffins. You can add ANYTHING to make the most amazing muffins. I added coconut oil and strawberries to these. The next set, I used blueberries, and the set after that I used Enjoy Life Foods dark chocolate morsels. You can’t lose with this muffin mix.

However, the storyline that’s been making everyone laugh is the fact that our cat Murphy is OBSESSED with these mixes. He has now torn apart and attempted to eat at least 6 mixes. Any mixes. He’s eaten through a muffin mix. He tore apart several pancake mixes. He’s chewed through a dinner roll mix too. It’s insane. The cat has never tore through gluten-free food like this before. Apparently Mehl’s has a super fan.

You too, like Murphy, can easily become obsessed with Mehl’s Flour Company mixes. It’s a shame they are not yet in a store near me, because I think they’re definitely worthy of shelf space. Better than the fact that they’re amazing, their facility is certified to less than 10ppm – and run by celiacs. Who wouldn’t support a business like that? You can order anything from Mehl’s online here.

I NEED these products in my life!! Craving literally all of these. And wondering why they aren’t being sold everywhere?!?! Southern California and Seattle both have giant markets for Gluten Free products right now! For just “lifestyle gluten-free” people and “not-by-choice gluten free people”. Hope to see them everywhere soon!!!

Dinner rolls! Do you know how sad it is to sit there multiple times at a restaurant while your family dives into the warm goods? OF COURSE YOU DO! Call it depressing when they’re served with cinnamon butter.

I can’t have dairy so I obviously won’t butter them up, but it sounds real delicious dipped in chili. Or plain. I have honestly missed bread so much that even straight up gluten free bread is so delicious and flavorful.
