Welcome to Day TWO of our month-long celebration of Celiac Disease Awareness Month!
Our awesome gluten-free brand today is Natural Decadence – a great gluten-free vegan company from California. We met at Expo West where I fell in love with their products – especially the s’mores kit!
Natural Decadence is great for food allergies and celiacs alike, as they are also free from gluten, eggs, dairy, and nuts. Some items are made without soy too! Many of the items are vegan – including the S’MORES!
Natural Decadence S’mores Kit
They sent me several products to try. They offer several flavors of shortbread – including vanilla, citrus, and lavender (you heard me right, lavender). They also have a line of pre-made cookie dough that is fair-trade and non-GMO (although I didn’t get to try these, they look delicious).
My top two products (besides the S’mores kit) is the Chocolate Marble Shortbread and the Double Chocolate Fudge Cookies. The shortbread was perfectly flavored between chocolate and delicious shortbread. The vegan chocolate fudge cookies were rich, and moist, and…beautiful. I could have easily eaten the entire batch in one sitting, especially since they’re bite-sized cookies!

The two women behind this awesome bakery are Milia and Rosa. Rosa had a young child diagnosed (after misdiagnosis after misdiagnosis) with celiac and Milia had adult-onset food allergies. When you meet these women, you can feel the love that they bake into their products every day.
Natural Decadence currently has a line of cookies, shortbreads and graham crackers available in Humboldt, and in several states (found at their website here, but hooray for being in Arizona) but we’re hoping they take over the world soon! Usually the word moist disgusts me, but it makes me really excited when talking about gluten free cookies. I would love to try a cookie that isn’t a rock!
I’m excited about the vegan s’mores! I stopped eating marshmallows because I’m vegetarian (though not vegan). I’ve never tried any of the vegan marshmallows on the market and would love this kit!

In all honesty, with the lack of glutenfree products in my area I would be more than happy with anything. Just one taste of a baked goody that I didn’t have to make myself would be amazing!!!!

Although all of the products sound delicious (and include – or more exclude – my entire giant list of allergies) I can’t say no to cookie dough, and would probably eat it all uncooked… so I would definitely need the double chocolate fudge cookies to complement the cookie dough 😉

The Marble Shortbread sounds SO good! But honestly, I’m boring and am salivating at the sound of the graham crackers! It’s been so long since I’ve been able to fuel my Nabisco obsession, so I might have to pick up a few of those. I love that there’s finally a gluten-free baking product that’s also dairy and egg free. It always seems that the ones out there sneak one of both of those in there somehow.

What!! Vegan Gluten free smores!! My 4 yr old has celiac and I’m sure she would enjoy the smores kit! I like that it is all package together too, makes it easy. What a great idea! I am already making a list of people whom I know would appreciate this as a gift. 🙂
