Celiac Awareness Month Day 27: Hilary’s Eat Well

It’s Day 27 and it’s officially Hilary’s day! Yes, today belongs to Hilary’s Eat Well. You may know them from their veggie burgers or their new salad dressings.

Hilary's Eat Well

Their burgers are gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, yeast-free, corn-free, soy-free, and nut-free! That’s a lot of frees! So what’s exactly in the burger, if so much is left out? Here’s the ingredients for the World’s Best  Veggie Burger:

Water, Millet, Quinoa, Expeller-Pressed Coconut Oil, Sweet Potato, Spinach, Onion, Psyllium Husk Powder, Arrowroot, Apple Cider Vinegar, Real Salt, Garlic

Yep, that’s it!

While they have several varieties of their veggies burgers (Adzuki Bean Burger, Hemp & Greens Burger, Root Veggie Burger, and Black Rice Burger), the ingredients are very similar – whole foods that are natural and nutritious!

One of my favorite part about Hilary’s Eat Well, is that you can make them in the TOASTER! That’s right – just pop a burger in a toaster for a few cycles and it will come out hot and crispy! Since they’re not recommended for a microwave, it’s an easy alternative, especially if you have toaster bags!

Their newest product is their BLACK RICE BURGER – made with rice from our friends at Lotus Foods. Here are the tasty ingredients inside:

Water, Adzuki Bean, Lotus Foods Organic Brown Jasmine Rice, Millet, Leafy Greens, Sweet Potato, Expeller-Pressed Coconut Oil, Lotus Foods Forbidden Rice®, Real Salt, Garlic, Apple Cider Vinegar, Psyllium Husk Powder, Arrowroot, Cumin, Lime Juice

I’d love to try these products b/c I have allergies to gluten, dairy, and beef! So no “regular” burgers for me, and the vegetarian substitutes often contain gluten. So these sound great!

I’ve tried veggie burgers before, and they were really good but not gluten-free, so my husband couldn’t eat them. It’s good to know that these are meatless AND gluten-free.

New to marriage life, my new husband and I have been creating and looking for yummy products made with coconut oil/milk to made to our gluten-free, dairy-free, corn-free, pork-free, and soy-free meal plan. I have some health issues and food allergies, and it is wonderful to find well-blended products that are delicious, healthy, and contain great ingredients.

Cannot wait to try the Black Bean Rice Burger; World’s Best Veggie Burger; and the Adzuki Bean Burger.

Looks like Hilary’s Eat Well brand has just made our lives a bit easier and tastier on a rainy day (or even a sunny one).
