Celiac Awareness Month Day 29: Schar

Today I’m highlighting Schar’s newest line of products – the Bonta d’Itlaia line! This line has frozen pizza, pasta items (like lasagna and tortellini), dessert, and boxed pasta. Schar was kind enough to ship me several boxes of their new boxed pasta and I’d love to give away a few of them to a lucky winner today!

I first found this pasta at Expo West 2014 at the Schar booth! Here are some key points for the Bonta d’Italia line!

  • Gluten-Free, Wheat-Free, Lactose-Free
  • Made with Ancient Grains
  • Emulsifier Free
  • Preservative Free
  • Low Sodium
  • Non-GMO
  • Sustainably Produced Using Sola, Water, and Wind Energy

I’d love to try the multi-grain penne. I love the Annelini for soups, I loved the Lipton soup mixes pre-celiac and the little noddles are such a great replacement.

I didn’t even know that these gluten-free pasta products existed! We usually get penne, elbow, spaghetti and rigatoni, so any of the other pasta products that AREN’T those would be wonderful!

I miss spaghetti! My husband makes bolognese sauce and I never eat it with pasta anymore because the gluten free options are generally unsatisfying.

Definitely the Multigrain Penne because there is lentil in the ingredients.
