Celiac Disease Awareness Month GFFAFest Giveaway #CDAM15

I had a great time at the Minneapolis GFFAFest with Gluten Free & More magazine. I met so many amazing people who read the magazine, followed Celiac and the Beast, or were brand new to the gluten-free life. It’s only fitting that one of the days of Celiac Disease Awareness Month gives away a box full of goodies from the GFFAFest!

Check out some of the cool things that I saw at the Minneapolis event!

Do you have a copy of our latest Baking issue? It’s amazing – we only do these special issues twice a year, once in spring and once during the holidays. Go to your local newsstand and pick one up! It’s beautiful inside and you don’t want to miss these recipes! You can always order online at GlutenFreeandMore.com.

Associate Editor Jules (aka THE REAL gF Jules) did a presentation on using a breadmaker. She’s finally convinced me that I can too use a breadmaker!

The whole Cheerios team was there from General Mills and talking all about their new gluten-free Cheerios. I had extensive talks with the General Mills team about their process for their new product and I’m very interested for it to launch! Believe me, they are doing so much internal testing on the product, and huge company like General Mills has so much liability – you know it’s going to be safe.

One of my favorite non-dairy frozen dessert brands was at the event – Luna & Larry’s Coconut Bliss! If you haven’t tried their vegan gluten-free coconut-milk desserts, you should definitely try one of their inventive flavors. Another frozen dessert giant was there – So Delicious handed out tons of their bars and even had an awesome photo booth. You’ve got to check them out at future shows, they’ve got a great set-up!

You might recognize this #CDAM15 sponsor – NoGii was there showing off their newest bars and their brand new quinoa and whey protein powder.

It was really cool to see Trader Joe’s there, showing off their store brand gluten-free products.

Because if you haven’t tried a Kinnikinnick donut, you’re missing out! Three flavors, and you can easily store them in your freezer and take them out one at a time (or more – no judging).

I just found it cruel that the one time I got to leave the very busy booth to head to Canyon Gluten Free Bakehouse (another #CDAM sponsor – thanks for your week sponsorship!) they had run out of their new bagels! Check out their newest Everything Bagel in my latest post here.

Of course my friends from Way Better Snacks were there because they are a Minneapolis-based company. Next time I head to Minneapolis I definitely want to stop by the office and stock up on their Sweet Chili and Sriracha chips!

Doesn’t this look great? Don’t you want to come out to a GFFAFest and hang out? There are three more chances to visit a GFFAFest in your neck of the woods for the rest of the year.
