Their honey is out of this world good, and comes with the benefits of raw honey – like antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties (see this page for why raw honey is so awesome).Heavenly Organics honey is 100-percent organic and Non-GMO Project Verified, which is unattainable in most regions today.

Their honey is made from wild beehives in the forest of India – not from a farmed beehive. Once the hives are located (just 1 tree can have as many as 20 hives), harvesters return at night, while the bees are sleeping, to collect the honey. Harvesters brush away the sleeping bees and cut a portion of the hive away leaving the queen and the hive intact – unlike smoking, this method reduces the incidences of harming the bees, the hives, and eliminates forest fires. The hive then regenerates within 15-20 days and is ready for additional harvests. This proprietary, smoke-free and bee-friendly honey collection and production methods preserve the pollen, vitamins, minerals and enzymes found in raw honey, thus making Heavenly Organics honey the most pure honey available in the United States. So, maybe next time skip the bear-shaped yellow bottle and opt for something a little more real, and a little more sustainable.

I was first introduced to this brand by their honey patties. They are made from 100% cocoa + 100% organic white honey inside. These treats have four ingredients or less! Keep these in mind for a chilled treat during the summer (just pop them in your fridge) or plan ahead and stock up for Stocking Stuffers for the holidays. Everyone, specialty diet or not, will appreciate these treats. My favorite is the peanut chocolate honey patty – because it’s like combining three of my favorite things together in one bite! They are gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free and have no added sugar! They’re on sale for $17.64 for a box of 40 individual wrapped patties – available in stores or for purchase online.

Their 100% organic whole cane sugar is new to me, but I’m excited to try it. This fair-trade and sustainably-produced sugar is just like what you have in your cabinet right now (but honestly probably a better quality if your cabinet is like mine) and can be used 1-to-1 like any sugar in a recipe. It’s on sale for $21.55 for a 6-pack of 20 oz. bags and you can purchase online! I haven’t seen this in stores yet, but I hope to soon!
