Last week I went to the AZTV studio to do a bit on the Morning Scramble morning talk show. They wanted to talk about my Celiac and the Beast book, and we talked about the gluten-free fad “diet” and the Gluten and Allergen Free Expo.
My girlfriend Raquel was super sweet and came along to take “behind the scene” photos so you could see me get ready for TV! Basically after you do the segment sheet ahead of time, you go into the studio, get mic’d up, and then pray that you have more than one minute with the interviewer before it starts! I’ve had media training and plenty of experience on TV, but I still get butterflies being able to spread the gluten-free word to everyone via the boob tube!
I seriously hope that Food Network falls in love with me and says “Why yes, Erica, your idea for hosting a gluten-free weekly talk show is perfect, we’d love to have you come and talk about your ideas…” OKAY!
