Glutino pretzels are the biggest pretzel name out there – and they’ve just launched a new version of their famous line – BIG PRETZELS! It’s like the same pretzels you know and love, but bigger! I received this as part of my monthly blogger shipment from Glutino. I’m a Glutino blogger and even though I receive complimentary product, I am not sponsored financially for this post.
But the Ingredients are a little different. Check out the differences here:
Big Pretzels: CORN STARCH, RICE FLOUR, POTATO STARCH, CORN DEXTRIN, PALM OIL, SALT, SUGAR, CELLULOSE GUM, CELLULOSE POWDER, SUNFLOWER LECITHIN, YEAST, SODIUM BICARBONATE, SODIUM ACID PYROPHOSPHATE.
Smaller Pretzel Twists: CORN STARCH, POTATO STARCH, RICE FLOUR, SOLUBLE CORN FIBER, PALM OIL, SUGAR, SALT, CELLULOSE GUM, SOY LECITHIN, YEAST EXTRACT, SODIUM BICARBONATE, SODIUM ACID PYROPHOSPHATE, CITRIC ACID. CONTAINS SOY.
Looks like they’re using sunflower lecithin instead of soy lecithin!
As you can see, these pretzels are much larger than the twists. While they aren’t quite soft pretzel size, these are great for Valentine’s Day fondue!
Valentine’s Day Fondue with Glutino Pretzels
I combined Enjoy Life Foods mini chocolate chips (top-8 free) and small amount of coconut oil (add gradually so you don’t end up with an oily mess) on lower heat until combined. Check out this recipe on Enjoy Life Foods to learn how to melt their chocolate properly. I dipped pretzels, Glutino Animal Crackers, and Dandies vegan marshmallows in the chocolate and let it dry on a plate. Don’t judge me, but I ate this whole plate myself!
You can also take the items, after they have dried, and place them in a cellophane bag and tie it up with red or pink ribbon for a special treat.
It’s so easy to make your own simple dessert that looks like you put a lot of effort into it. But it doesn’t need to be a special day to enjoy Glutino’s newest item. Pick up a bag of Big Pretzels and enjoy for snacking any time!
Oh cool! I saw these at Whole Foods yesterday but didn’t even pick them up because I assumed they would have soy like the others! I’ll be sure to get a bag next time I see them!
