Step Up Your Gluten-Free Avocado Toast Game!

Step Up Your Avocado Toast Game

I have to admit it. I never wanted to admit this on print, but I’m hitting publish so here it goes. I actually like avocado toast. I know – so “basic” of me. It’s like admitting that you’re one of those people that wait all year for Pumpkin Spice Lattes (which I was before I went dairy-free). It wasn’t until I started adding things on top of my avocado toast, however, that I started actually enjoying it. For one, it kept me satiated throughout the morning because of the healthy fat. Also, it made me feel better than eating just sugary carbs for breakfast, like a muffin or a scone. And finally, I could use my favorite brands of gluten-free breads every morning! I even graduated and started making avocado toasted bagels!

I love also making what’s basically a deconstructed avocado grilled cheese. These buttered toast slices are lined with my favorite dairy-free cheese and put into the toaster oven. After it’s golden and the cheese is melted, I top with sliced avocado and sea salt.

But, like anything else, sometimes I’m in a rut with avocado toast. So, I turned to the experts for inspiration. Check out some of my favorite bloggers and their Avocado Toast creations on Instagram.
