Congrats Red Apple Lipstick: Best Gluten Free Cosmetics Brand

Erica Dermer, June 8, 2013June 27, 2016

*NOTE: I am an affiliate for Red Apple Lipstick! It’s some of the only makeup I allow on my very sensitive celiac body and I think you’ll love it as much as I do!*

You know who you are. Those girls that think they can’t wear awesome lipstick. I’ve seen you. And you can!

We here at Celiac and the Beast love Red Apple Lipstick, if you couldn’t tell from my video above.

So – major kudos to them for winning the GFreekcom award for Best Cosmetics Company and getting a nod from Women’s Health Magazine.

I asked Andrea what Red Apple Lipstick had to say about it.

“We can’t even believe that we were nominated and voted to win…it’s amazing, like unbelievable.  You know, we were going up against the big guys like Arbonne and Nars (which aren’t gluten free anymore – but people still think they are).  Regardless, they’re big names that everyone knows…and just to know that WE were chosen is so humbling.  It makes us realize that what we do everyday is making a difference in women’s lives – and that is so incredibly rewarding!! They see that we care…that we’re devoted…that we’re dedicated to ensuring their health and safety!!”

Rock on!

And what about those ladies that haven’t tried Red Apple Lipstick, what do you want to tell them?

“…Here’s what Jay says he would say at a trade show, ‘What are you freakin’ serious?? You haven’t even like given it a try yet?! Come here girl…lemme show you something!’ No matter if you’re a lipstick, gloss, or balm girl – wouldn’t you rather do it without the risk of glutening yourself (*without knowing it) or risking the chance of increasing breast cancer (through absorbing parabens)? What have you got to lose?? Let’s just imagine that gluten wasn’t an issue for you (*dream) and that you didn’t care about all the other toxins that are put into makeup today…wouldn’t you still want luxurious, creamy, moisturizing, long lasting, gorgeous lipstick?!!?!  OF COURSE you would!!! Sooo, what’s the hold up, not only are we all those things and more…but we are DEDICATED gluten, paraben, cruelty, toxin free – AND we offer a 100% money back guarantee, so your decision is risk-free!! Plus if you sign up for our VIP club you get 20% off every month…what’s there to lose?!  Lipstick is the mood booster of our makeup bag, and it can help heal your lips at the same time with the GF Vitamin E…so just go for it – we won’t judge! :)”

DISCLOSURE STATEMENT: I have previously and do currently receive complimentary product from Red Apple Lipstick, on top of the products I purchase out of my own pocket. This has not reflected my review of the product listed above.

Oh no! Mostly all of my makeup is Nars! Am I glutening myself every time I use it?

I also have a soy allergy and was using a vegan chapstick until I started getting weird dry skin around my mouth. I did switch to Red Apple recently and it went away. At least I know I’m ok on that front.

    Any advice?

Just check with NARS with the products you do use! If there’s gluten – definitely get rid of it! 🙂

NARS is no longer gluten free according to their statement:

However, due to the wide range of raw materials and equipment used during the manufacturing of our products, we cannot confirm that our products are free from any traces of gluten. If you have specific questions or concerns regarding gluten, and the ingredients contained in our formulas, we recommend that you consult your physician.
