Zojirushi Virtuoso Bread Maker

Celiac Disease Awareness Month Zojirushi Breadmaker Giveaway #CDAM15

Erica Dermer, May 30, 2015May 30, 2015

This week has been awesome with a great response for our weekly sponsor – Enjoy Life Foods. I can’t thank you enough for your participation this month – but we still have two more days to go! I know that many of you have been waiting for the reveal of our BIG giveaway with one of my favorite products. Well, wait no longer – because I’m here today to tell you that you could win a Zojirushi Virtuoso Bread Maker!

Zojirushi Virtuoso Bread Maker

Zojirushi sent me a Virtuoso Breadmaker – complete with a gluten-free setting – so I could experience my first time making gluten-free bread since my diagnosis! My family and I always used to bake bread at home and I have fond memories of the smell of bread permeating the house during the hours it would knead and bake. I never though I would be able to bake my own gluten-free loaf of bread without screwing it up – big time. Thanks to Zojirushi – and a little help from my friend GF Jules, I was incredibly pleased with my first time.

Zojirushi Virtuoso Bread Maker

Zojirushi has made it pretty easy to just set and forget to make a gluten-free loaf of bread. It’s easy to choose the gluten-free setting (as you can see in the panel above) and you can choose the crust setting. I chose light just out of randomness.

GF Jules gave me a bread machine “you can do it” talk in Minneapolis the week before, and gave me a box of her sandwich bread mix because she said it was pretty impossible to screw up. And it was (because I did it and I screw up everything in the kitchen). Luckily, I had a few bottles left of my Groundbreaker Brewing GF beer (the best beer out there), so I used Squash Ale for my first loaf.

The machine was SO quiet. In fact, for the first two hours, I’m pretty sure I had screwed it up. I always thought it was supposed to be loud or whirring or something. But this – this was quiet. At one point it beeped and nonGFBF said it did make some noise during the few hours it took to bake, but I took a nap. That’s how quiet it was – I just took a nap. While this machine made the bread for me.

Zojirushi Virtuoso Bread Maker

Zojirushi Virtuoso Bread Maker

Seriously, is this not beautiful? MY FIRST TRY! I sampled it to just about everyone I know so I could prove that I wasn’t a complete failure in the kitchen and that Zojirushi and GF Jules made me feel like a winner. THANK YOU!

Here are all the things that the Zojirushi Virutoso breadmaker can do:

  • White Bread-Regular
  • White Bread-Soft
  • White Bread-Firm
  • Wheat Bread
  • Gluten Free Bread
  • Dough
  • Jam
  • Cake
  • French Bread
  • Cookie/Pasta Dough
  • Sourdough Starter
  • Home Made
  • Quick Baking

Since I don’t understand how a bread machine can possibly do any of that – it does come with a great instruction manual and a DVD.

The machine retails for about $279.99 and you can purchase it on Amazon.com (affiliate) or any other retail locations here. If you love making your own bread, or are sick of having to run out to the store every time you forget that you have to buy a loaf of GF bread, this machine is for you!

Thank you very much to Zojirushi for being a product sponsor of Celiac Disease Awareness Month with Celiac and the Beast. I know someone is going to be so happy to receive a Zojirushi Virtuoso bread maker! Please follow the Rafflecopter terms and conditions in the widget below and follow the rules to gain entry into the sweepstakes! Thanks again Zojirushi! US ONLY PLEASE.

I have asked for a bread machine for Christmas for the past 20yrs. I’ve never got it. A couple months ago I was diagnosed with Celiac disease and thought I would never have any use for a bread machine. Since I have been going to expos and meeting other people like me, I know that I can make anything I want with alittle creativity. Now the bread machine is back on my list!

I probably don’t have any better reason to win this GF Breadmaker then any other person who requires a GF Lifestyle of eating. But my main reason is for my son, because he has Celiac and struggles so much with eating ALL GF, especially bread. He LOVES bread, but not so much GF bread. Maybe this GF Breadmaker would be the bread that he loves so much he won’t want or “crave” the bread with gluten in it. Thank you.

My twelve-year-old daughter loves to cook and bake more than anything! She started taking cooking classes before she was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. Since her diagnosis she’s really been quite sad about the fact that she caThe n’t make any of her old favorites – at least none that taste as good. Bread is her favorite thing in the world and the one thing she misses the most. If she could make her own yummy bread at home, I would have the happiest little chef in town! Fingers and toes crossed for my favorite red-headed chef!

Recently found out I can no longer have dairy in addition to gluten. Also since being diagnosed seven years ago, I am still have some issues that seem to be connected to FODMAP’s – so it is extremely difficult to find a bread on the market that is gluten-free, dairy-free, AND FODMAP friendly. Right now there is only one, and it is Udi’s White bread, and we all know how horrible it is to spend that much money on a “loaf” of bread that has huge holes in it. When you don’t receive a paycheck for a whole year and can barely afford vegetables, its hard to justify spending money like that on “bread”.

as a full time working single mom to a teen with type 1 diabetes who was just diagnosed with celiac AND crohns disease, this bread machine would be a major blessing. We live two hours away from the mall or any type of whole foods/aldi/good foods, etc., and there’s ONE brand of GF bread in our local mom and pop grocery store, which has maybe a total of 10 GF items total on their shelves… and it is NOT good. 🙁

I’ve been using the same bread maker since 1996, so it’s definitely time for me to upgrade to a new one, but I can’t afford it. I’d love to win this so I could make wonderful GF breads for the members of my family who need it.

Coming up on a year of having celiac disease and I have yet to find a bread I can tolerate. I’ve been wanting to buy a bread maker but the cost has always been out of my range. Getting this bread maker will let me bake different types of gluten free bread without all the added sugars and ingredients some of the frozen brands have! Which will equal a healthier me!

I miss homemade bread and don’t have the skills or energy to make my own.

I love bread and love baking bread myself. I don’t own a dough mixer so I’ve always knead dough by hands and it’s tiresome after awhile, this breadmaker would help so much.
