Cat food isn’t just food…it’s cat wellness, cat nutrition, and the way that we can show our cats that we care by providing them the highest quality food. I love finding new, high-quality food for our fur kids that fit my dietary needs too. The new Wellness® Complete Health™ grain-free cat food is free from grains, meaning free from gluten-containing grains like wheat, barley and rye. The recipes are also free from corn, carrageenan, soy, and artificial colors and flavors. You won’t find fillers in here, which is great, because fillers usually contain gluten! If you’re not feeding your cat a gluten-free/grain-free diet, you need to switch.

Wellness® has a new, reformulated, grain-free dry food formula for cats. The Wellness® Complete Health™ line contains grain-free recipes are formulated for vitamins and minerals for optimal health for your fur children. Wellness® Complete Health™ is available in three varieties – for adults there’s Salmon & Herring, and Deboned Chicken and Chicken Meal and for kittens, Deboned Chicken and Chicken Meal. Looking into the ingredients, it looks more like my grocery list than what I expected into cat food. There’s chicken, peas, chickpeas, potatoes, flaxseed, tomatoes, salmon oil, cranberries, and vitamins, minerals, and probiotics for digestive health.
It was easy to find in PetSmart, found where all the Wellness® cat food products are found. There are a few sizes you can purchase – the 2.5 lb., 5.5 lb., and a big 11.5 lb. bag. I love that you can easily read “grain free” so I don’t have to scan over all of the ingredients like I have to in a regular grocery store.
When I brought the bags into the house, Murphy already knew it was for him. He dug his little nose into the bag and refused to leave the bags until someone opened them for him (the whole no thumbs thing). When I didn’t open them soon enough, he sank his teeth into the kitten bag – and that finally got my attention. I let the kids sample the adult formula to see what their initial reaction was. Huge success! When they ate it all, Mushu, our picky eater, actually went to the bag, and dug her paw into the opening t to try to get more food out!
While these two are eating the adult indoor formula, we’ve got several strays in our neighborhood cat colony that we’ve been feeding. I can’t wait to show you how our strays have been reacting to this high-quality food, but I’m saving that for the next post! Everyone in our neighborhood is being fed, and fed well!
If you’re not sold yet, based on how much my picky cats loved it, Wellness® offers a Catisfaction Guarantee with PetSmart. If your furry one doesn’t like it, you can return the unused portion back to PetSmart for a full refund. Visit PetSmart® to learn more about the Wellness® Complete Health Grain Free cat food options!
